Google bought AppJet

Google acquired the company AppJet to develop their own social project Google Wave. AppJet is the developer of “EtherPad”, a virtual document editor, which allows you to upload, sort, and work on them in real time.

“We are pleased to announce that AppJet Inc. was acquired by Google. Team EtherPad continue its work on cooperation in real time within a team of Google Wave », – said AppJet blog.

“We really understand (as a team Google Wave), that the Wave does not yet have that functionality, which you expect and not as complete as EtherPad», – said representatives of AppJet. Site EtherPad will run until March 2010. All users will receive invitations EtherPad Google Wave.
